Running late to a work meeting

Running late to a work meeting, jumped in my car and headed on a major roadway when I realized I needed gas. I pulled off the road at the first available station to find I forgot my wallet. I did not even have a license to offer in exchange for some gas to get me to my meeting on time and until I could borrow some money…on a prayer I walked into a Lukoil Station and told the attendant my predicament;without any hesitation he asked if $10 would get me where I was going as he took the money out of his wallet and put it into the cash register. I thanked him and told him I would be back with the money after my meeting and he said no problem. To that man who saved my day by that act of kindness – you did good!

A poem of inspiration

Jesus dreamt
Of a world
Of one
Global family
Each person
And blood family
Being a gift
From his Abba
Attempting to
Overcome the
Barriers of
Race, colour,
Sex and creed.
Locally we
Come together
With our individualities
Our languages
And cultures

Separate and distinct….
But there are
The obstacles
Of not knowing
Each other
And therefore
Experiencing a degree
Of unsureness
And fear.
We pass different ones
Sometimes as shadows …
Each of us
So tends to
Be centred on self
And yet how
We hunger for
Change, conversion
Of our hearts
And minds.
